7-Nov PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARDS Grades 5-12 Describe a volunteer community service activity performed within the past year. Fill out the online application and turn into the counseling center by Nov 8. Judged on inspiration; effort; impact and personal growth. AMES may submit one student to compete at the state level. https://spirit.prudential.com/   State  winners = $1000 and trip to Washington DC. National = $5000.

  Many college representatives will be here to give a 30 minute presentation.  Any student is welcome to attend.  There are sign-up sheets on the Counseling Center door (Kari’s side). Make sure you sign up ahead of time so we can excuse you from class to attend.  Here are the upcoming college visits:

 

 

IMPORTANT FOR SENIORS!

If you are applying to the University of Utah, there have been 2 big changes to the application process.

The priority admissions application deadline is November 1stfor ALL applicants not just Honors College which is a month earlier than last year. In order to be considered for Merit Scholarships, you need to apply to the University of Utah before November 1st.  Students, please make sure your transcript looks the way you want it to before that day.
